You guys will love these HEALTHY CHOCOLATE PROTEIN PANCAKES! You can thank me later!!
Getting enough protein at breakfast is important. It keeps you full throughout the day and helps manage blood sugar levels/ cravings too. Many people eat a breakfast which is far too high in carbohydrates and not high enough in protein. These healthy chocolate protein pancakes are not only high in protein, they are also great to satisfy any cravings you may have on the weekend but in a healthy way!
The recipe makes 6 healthy chocolate protein pancakes but you can eat more if your heart/ lifestyles desires. They are also a great recipe to prep throughout the week for a tasty afternoon or pre/ post gym snack. I would generally only eat 1 if I was eating it as a snack but the macros are below for you to make your own decision. They will keep well in the fridge for a few days or even the freezer if you want to prep them in a big bulk. If I freeze them, I tend to defrost them just zip them quickly in the microwave before I eat them as they are better a tiny bit warm. I love to top them with Greek yogurt, berries and a little honey if I need a little bit of sweetness but they are great without the honey if you are trying to cut back on sugar.
